Based in Benfleet, Essex, Quality Foster Care organise regular events and training courses for foster care providers and children.
Annual Day Out
In the summer time, Quality Foster Care organise a day out for all of our foster children and young people, as well as the foster carers and their birth children.
This has previously been a "back to basics" event with sack races, cricket, a bouncy castle, and face painting. We also organise outings to a local amusement park with rides and games for the children and young people.
Courses
Quality Foster Care foster carers have regular training in topics including:
- Safe care and de-escalation skills
- Challenging behaviour
- Drugs & alcohol awareness
- Valuing diversity
- First aid
In addition to these rolling training courses, we run a programme designed to enable foster carers to achieve an NVQ Level 3 qualification in caring for children and young people.
